  • 3D visualization

  • 3D printed prototype

Discovery

Oro Toscano was created in response to a growing demand from consumers who value high-quality olive oil and are willing to invest in imported products that offer authenticity, culture, and a direct connection to the land. Sourced from the heart of Tuscany, Italy, Oro Toscano reflects the region’s rich agricultural heritage and commitment to excellence.

Execution

For the execution, I used illustration as a key visual element to evoke the landscape of Tuscany, with textured lines representing its rolling hills. The typography was carefully selected to convey elegance and timelessness, aligning with the premium positioning of the brand. The color palette highlights the freshness and natural quality of the ingredients, reinforcing the product’s authenticity and appeal. Each design choice supports the brand’s goal of combining heritage with sophistication in a visually engaging way.

Prototyping

The 3D prototype mockups featured in this project were developed entirely in Adobe Dimension, allowing for a realistic visualization of the final packaging. From initial concept to final execution, the prototyping process helped bring the brand to life and provided a clear representation of how the design would appear in a real-world context. This step was essential in evaluating scale, color, and material finishes before moving into production.

Reflection

Working on Oro Toscano was a valuable opportunity to combine strategic thinking with visual storytelling. This project challenged me to go beyond aesthetics and truly consider the values, habits, and expectations of a niche audience. Consumers who are intentional about quality and cultural authenticity in the products they buy. From research and brand positioning to packaging design and 3D prototyping, every phase required a balance between creativity and purpose. It reinforced the importance of design as a bridge between product and consumer. This project also allowed me to further explore the role of visual elements such as illustration, typography, and texture in conveying a sense of place.
